Navy School Ship opens for free visits in Belém this Thursday (11) Brazilian Navy / Command of the 4th Naval District The Port of Santos receives, this Sunday (12), the Brazil School Ship, from the Brazilian Navy. The vessel will be open for free viewing. Access for visitors will be through the Port of Santos Naval Complex (CNPS) and is open from 9am to 4:30pm, on a first-come, first-served basis. School Ship Brasil The School Ship Brazil is the third ship of the Brazilian Navy to bear this name, in honor of the country. It was built by the Rio de Janeiro Navy Arsenal, based on a project developed by the Naval Engineering Directorate, both bodies of the Brazilian Navy. Construction of this ship began in September 1981 and, after two years, on September 23, 1983, it was launched into the sea.
