Operation arrests 14 suspects of carrying out scams with false sales of properties, vehicles and consortiums in AM

Photo: Disclosure/PC-AM The Civil Police of Amazonas (PC-AM) launched Operation Avalanche to dismantle a criminal organization suspected of carrying out scams related to the false sale of properties, vehicles and consortiums. According to the police, the group generated approximately R$8 million in approximately one year of operation. The action was carried out this Thursday morning (6) by the 1st Integrated Police District (DIP). During the operation, 14 preventive arrest warrants, 22 search and seizure warrants and two various precautionary arrest measures were executed. The financial assets of those being investigated were also ordered to be blocked. Among the targets of the operation is a lawyer identified by investigations as leader of the criminal group. ? Victims were attracted by advertisements published on e-commerce platforms and social networks and convinced to pay entry fees for the supposed businesses.
