Poa was the city with the best performance in Alto Tietê Rodrigo Nagafuti/Secom Poá Poá had the best performance among the cities in Alto Tietê in the first Inequality Map of the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo, released this Thursday (6). Among the ten municipalities in the region, Itaquaquecetuba was the worst placed. The survey, produced by Rede Nossa São Paulo and the Instituto Cidades Sustentáveis, brings together 40 indicators distributed across nine areas to portray inequalities between the 39 municipalities of Greater São Paulo. ? Six cities in Alto Tietê appear ahead of the capital of São Paulo in the ranking: Poá, Suzano, Guararema, Arujá, Santa Isabel and Salesópolis. São Paulo occupies 16th position in the general classification. Mogi das Cruzes, the largest municipality in the region, is in 19th place, behind six cities in Alto Tietê itself. The study considers 40 indicators distributed across nine areas: health, education, public safety, housing, transport and mobility, infrastructure, environment, culture and poverty, work and income. The objective is to portray inequalities between municipalities in the metropolitan region, where more than 21 million people live. In the general classification of the 39 municipalities, São Caetano do Sul came in first place, while Pirapora do Bom Jesus had the worst performance. Watch more news from Alto Tietê
