The victim was rescued by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) and taken in serious condition to the State General Hospital (HGE). The young man involved in the collision managed to avoid falling and was not injured. He reported that, together with a doctor who was also passing by the scene, he started first aid before the ambulance arrived. "The patient was already in a very serious condition, with the most serious level on the consciousness scale. He also had difficulty breathing because of the head trauma," he explained. According to the rescuer, the first measures included opening the airway, stabilizing the cervical spine and monitoring the victim. Caio César stated that one of the situations that drew the most attention was the fact that no one called for help immediately. Samu was only called after evaluating the professionals who were already providing first aid on the road. "We saw that it was a very serious case and called the specialized team. Due to the severity, the treatment had to be carried out while still in the sand, even before being taken to the ambulance", said the rescuer. After being stabilized, the elderly man was taken to the HGE red trauma area. The victim suffered a severe brain bleed, confirmed by imaging tests, and was taken to the operating room.
