PC-AL arrests fake broker in registry office who wore wigs to scam false property A woman was arrested red-handed inside a registry office in Maceió, suspected of scamming the sale of third-party properties using false documents, according to the Civil Police of Alagoas (PC-AL). To make identification difficult, she wore different wigs. The client arranged a meeting with the suspect at the registry office to sign the documentation, but, before the meeting, she called the police. The agents went to the scene and arrested the woman red-handed. According to investigations, the fake brokerage counted on the help of other people posing as buyers and owners of the properties to give the appearance of legality to the negotiations. "The suspect was selling third-party properties. She was arrested in the act at the moment she recognized the signature of the contract for a property. She received PIX as if she were the owner of the properties, including houses and apartments. She had the help of two people to carry out the scams, characterizing an association to commit a crime", said delegate Michele Santos Viatura Civil Police of Alagoas Ascom PC-AL Also according to the Civil Police, the woman has a criminal record, having already claimed a second victim in the scam of the false sale of properties and chose to remain silent during the testimony.
