Aracaju councilors vote on Budget Guidelines Law The Aracaju City Council approved, this Thursday (16), the Budget Guidelines Bill (LDO) worth R$ 4 billion for the 2027 financial year. The text, authored by the municipal Executive, was voted after analyzing the amendments presented by parliamentarians and is now being approved by Mayor Emília Corrêa. The LDO establishes the goals and priorities that will guide the preparation of the Annual Budget Law (LOA), responsible for detailing the application of public resources in the municipality next year. ? Click here to follow the g1 SE channel on WhatsApp Chamber of Aracaju budget of R$4 billion for the capital in 2027 CMA The main fiscal parameters foreseen in the approved project are: Estimated revenue: More than R$4.04 billion; Total projected expenditure: R$3.2 billion (ignoring sources from the Social Security Regime); Consolidated public debt: Estimated at R$1.6 billion; Parliamentary amendments: Reserve of 2% of Net Current Revenue (RCL) for councilors' mandatory amendments. Actions for next year are organized into three strategic axes: promotion of social equity, urban transformation and strategic management and innovation. Among the highlights of the approved amendments, councilor Breno Garibalde presented the proposal approved with 16 votes in favor and five against, which includes as a priority the promotion of actions aimed at the gradual implementation of the zero fare program in public transport in Aracaju. Another notable proposal was amendment 19/2026, presented by Pastor Diego, which provides for the installation of protective equipment on the sides of bridges, viaducts and walkways, the adoption of these devices as a safety requirement in new constructions of this nature and the carrying out of permanent campaigns to value life. It was approved with 13 votes in favor and ten against.
