Startup Reports will be launched during the 2026 Entrepreneur Fair

Entrepreneurs from Maranhão who develop innovative solutions for the market gain a new space of visibility during the 2026 Entrepreneur Fair, which takes place from August 14 to 16, at Multicenter Negócios e Eventos, in São Luís. The event will be the stage for the presentation of Startup Reports, an unprecedented survey that brings together information from around 470 startups monitored by Sebrae in Maranhão between 2022 and 2026. The study is a compilation of information extracted from the Sebrae Startup platform and was developed with the aim of better understanding the functioning, organization and structure of innovative businesses that participated in Sebrae programs and initiatives in the state. Among the actions considered are programs such as Startup Nordeste, Inova Cerrado, Inova Amazônia and Sebraetec Negócios Inovadores, in addition to other innovation initiatives developed by Sebrae Maranhão over the last few years. Using this information, Startup Reports seeks to identify characteristics of the businesses monitored, understand the profile of entrepreneurs and observe how these companies are positioning themselves in the market. Technology, creativity and new ideas drive the area of ??innovation Sebrae/Disclosure Portrait of innovative entrepreneurship In addition to gathering information, the survey aims to contribute to a broader understanding of the Maranhão innovation ecosystem. The proposal is to identify who these entrepreneurs are, what paths they are taking and how businesses can be connected to opportunities within and outside the state. “Startup Reports seeks to understand the positioning of businesses in Maranhão, understand the profile of the entrepreneur and how Sebrae can connect initiatives with the ecosystem not only in the state, but in the entire region, supporting these initiatives”, explains César Guimarães, state innovation manager at Sebrae Maranhão, responsible for the survey. The study also aims to highlight the creative capacity of entrepreneurs from Maranhão and the constant search for innovation. With the initiative, Sebrae increases the visibility of initiatives that develop solutions for real market demands. Innovation Arena brings together programming focused on technology, innovation and new business opportunities Sebrae/Disclosure Fair as a connection space The Entrepreneur's Fair was chosen for the presentation of Startup Reports because it is an environment that brings together different actors in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. In the same space, entrepreneurs, experts, institutions and potential partners have access to content, experiences and connection opportunities. In this edition, the Fair has an Innovation Arena, a space dedicated to topics related to innovation, technology and business transformation. It is within the Arena's knowledge program that Startup Reports will be presented to the public. There will be no ceremony or specific time for the launch. The initiative will be included in the space's content programming throughout the Fair, expanding the survey's contact with entrepreneurs and other event participants. "The Fair is a suitable place to launch Startup Reports because it even has an Arena for Innovation. It will give visibility. Startup Reports is also to inspire entrepreneurs to be increasingly innovative", highlights César Guimarães. The initiative also reinforces the work carried out by Sebrae throughout the entrepreneurial journey, from supporting business structuring to creating opportunities to connect with the market. Sebrae's expectation is that the survey will help bring entrepreneurs closer to potential partners, customers and other members of the innovation ecosystem. “We want to generate visibility for these entrepreneurs, who develop innovative solutions for the market, and generate connections with the market”, concludes César Guimarães.
