Lamine Yamal makes a statement to his girlfriend before the World Cup semi-final

On the eve of the clash between Spain and France, valid for the tournament's semi-final, the striker shared a sequence of photos with his girlfriend, Inés Garcia, and delighted his followers with photos of the couple.

The publication was made this Monday (13), the same date on which the Barcelona player turned 19. Without writing a long text, Yamal opted for a discreet display of affection and just published a brown heart emoji in the caption.

The album brings together images of the two at different moments in their relationship. There are selfies, tours, meals, trips and even records taken during Spanish national team matches. In one of the photos, Inés appears hugging her boyfriend while wearing a personalized shirt with his name.

The influencer also didn’t let the date go unnoticed. Through Instagram stories, she published a photo next to the attacker and wrote a brief message to celebrate her partner's birthday.

"Happy day! I love you!", he declared.

The romance between the two gained even more visibility during the World Cup. Days before, on July 9, it was Inés' turn to celebrate her birthday. At the time, Yamal commented, during a press conference, that he intended to enjoy some time with his family and girlfriend before turning his focus fully to the competition.

"I'm looking forward to dinner and celebrating my girlfriend's birthday, and also spending time with my family," said the striker.

Although they only recently became involved in the relationship, rumors involving the couple began months before. The first sightings of the two together took place in April, during a walk through Sitges, Catalonia.

Shortly afterwards, they made their first public appearance during the celebrations of the Spanish title won by Barcelona. They then took advantage of the athlete's vacation on a trip to Greece, increasing speculation even further until they made their relationship official.

The couple's story was also surrounded by a curiosity that went viral on social media. Many internet users began to say that the two had met after Inés's bank card was declined in a cafeteria and Yamal had paid the bill.

The influencer, however, tried to deny the version and explained that the beginning of the relationship was very different. "I would love to tell a super elaborate story, that we met at an airport or that I dropped papers on the floor and he helped me. But it wasn't that. We met on social media", he said.

According to Inés, the two spent months talking online before deciding to meet in person. "We spoke for a long time before we saw each other. We gave things time to happen naturally", he revealed.

Model and digital influencer, Inés has more than two million followers on social media, where she shares content about fashion, beauty and lifestyle. During the World Cup, she also attracted attention for her discreet appearance in the stands, preferring comfortable clothes instead of extravagant outfits.
