Haddad reported approach in interview
The former Minister of Finance stated that his driver was the target of a “non-standard” approach and persecution by the Military Police (PM) on the night of Tuesday, 11th.
According to Haddad, the events happened after the employee dropped him off at home, in the south zone of São Paulo. He said he became aware of what happened this Wednesday, 12th. In conversation with journalists, the candidate for government preferred to preserve the driver's identity. “I was shaken until this morning.”

The former minister was returning from an appointment at Faculdade do Largo São Francisco, in the capital of São Paulo. “My driver was accompanied in a strange way.” The candidate stated that the police vehicle “paired” and “stuck” to the rear of the vehicle driven by the employee. During the journey, the driver entered a hotel parking lot.
According to reports, the police directed flashlights to illuminate the interior of the car after Haddad had already left the vehicle. From there, the driver realized that he was being followed by the police car.
