According to Sebrae/MT Technical Analyst, Vinicius Dal Bianco, the program was designed to connect knowledge and innovation, in addition to showing that sustainability can be present in different sectors of society. “We want to bring together producers, entrepreneurs, students, researchers and the community to share solutions, strengthen partnerships and encourage practices that generate economic development combined with environmental conservation”, he highlighted.
According to Vinicius, during the two-day event, the public will be able to check out the technical panels on sustainability and participate in the following fairs: Sustainable Initiatives and Public Policies, Agroecological Family Farming, Sustainable and Organic Crafts and the Exchange of Seedlings and Creole Seeds, as well as the exhibition at the Southern Amazon Museum.
Empaer's agronomist, Rogério Leschewitz, explains that the expectation for this year is to surpass previous editions, increasing the participation of institutions and the community. "The growth of Sinop Sustentável demonstrates that society is increasingly interested in learning about initiatives that combine production, environmental preservation and quality of life. More than an event, this is a space for integration between research, rural extension, education and community", he states.
In this edition, the organization provides space for 44 exhibitors and presents new features, such as the first Scientific Sustainability Exhibition, aimed at students in the city; the 2nd Women in Network Seminar; the Eco Kids Space, with fun activities for children; and a Sustainable Cinema night, with screenings of films and short films on the topic.
In addition to Sebrae/MT and Empaer, the event is in partnership with Embrapa Agrossilvipastoril, the State University of Mato Grosso (Unemat), Sinop City Hall and the Faepen Foundation.
