Sicoob Saúde 2026 opens registration for race on World Heart Day Disclosure Sicoob Saúde 2026 is open for registration and brings something new: the event changed the mode from cycling to running. The objective of the action for World Heart Day, however, remains the same, to encourage the practice of physical activities and preventive care against cardiovascular diseases, the main cause of death in Brazil. According to the Brazilian Society of Cardiology (SBC) and the Ministry of Health, they are responsible for around 30% of deaths registered in the country, equivalent to approximately 300,000 deaths per year. The edition also marks an unprecedented feat, it will be the first race held simultaneously in 28 cities in Brazil, bringing together participants in all municipalities where Sicoob Credisul is present. The race takes place on September 27th, at 6:30 am, with the exception of Comodoro (MT), Cáceres (MT), Cruzeiro do Sul (AC), Rio Branco (AC), Rio Pardo (RO), Tangará da Serra (MT), Tapurah (MT) and Lucas do Rio Verde (MT) where the event will be held on September 20th and Porto Velho (RO) scheduled for October 11th. People aged 14 and over can participate. Registration is free and done via the Sicoob Saúde website. Anyone attending the event will also compete for a prize draw, and the first people to arrive at the meeting place will receive a personalized t-shirt. At the end of the action, the athlete will receive a participation medal. Sicoob Saúde has been held since 2015 and has already brought together more than 63 thousand participants in the states of Rondônia, Mato Grosso, Acre and Amazonas. In 2025 alone, the event had 18,700 cyclists, the largest attendance recorded in its history. In addition to the race, the program will include awareness raising activities on the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, blood pressure measurement and blood glucose testing. Registration will also have a charitable nature. Participants are invited to donate 1 kg of non-perishable food on the day of the event or cash using the QR Code available on the website.
