Ten candidates were made official during conventions and remain in the running for a seat in the Senate representing Rondônia. They are: on October 25th. Confúcio Moura (MDB) and Rosângela Cipriano (PSB) were announced as candidates during the elections, but both withdrew their candidacy. Engineer Túlio (Mission), was made official in an online and closed convention, on July 22nd. Acir took up a seat in the Senate for the first time in 2009, after winning the dispute that it represented Rondônia to have its diploma revoked by the Electoral Court. He served two consecutive terms. In 2022, he ran for the position again, but had his candidacy rejected. The candidate is state president of the Green Party and member of the national directory. He has already held positions in the Legislative Assembly, state government and Federal Chamber. He participated in the last elections as a candidate for councilor in Porto Velho, but was not elected. Bruno Bolsonaro Scheid (PL) Bruno Scheid Reproduction/personal collection Bruno Scheid is a rural producer from Ji-Paraná (RO). He served as a political advisor to former president Jair Bolsonaro and also holds the vice-presidency of the Liberal Party (PL) in Rondônia. This is Scheid's first candidacy. Kayo Magalhães/Chamber of Deputies Fernando Máximo was born in Ceres (GO), is 46 years old and is a doctor graduated from the Federal University of Amazonas. He served as Secretary of State for Health of Rondônia, including during the Covid-19 pandemic. He also worked as a surgeon, professor and expert. In 2022, he was elected federal deputy, being the candidate with the most votes in the state, in his first term. Engineer Thulio (Mission) Engineer Thulio Reproduction/Social Networks of Engineer Thulio Thulio Santiago Castro is a forestry engineer, landscaper and political activist. He was a consultant for Porto Velho City Hall, contributing to urban planning, afforestation and urban green requalification policies. He has also worked as an environmental expert, rural producer and teacher. This is the first time that the engineer has participated in an election. The pre-candidate is a Human Rights activist. Luciana ran for the position of state representative of Rondônia for the PSB party in 2018 and was a substitute. Two years later, in 2020, she sought one of the seats in the Porto Velho City Council for the PT, but was not elected. Luis Fernando (PSD) Luís Fernando Pereira Reproduction/social media Luis Fernando was born in Rio de Janeiro and moved to Porto Velho as a child. Graduated in Administration from the Federal University of Rondônia (Unir), he has specializations in management and a master's degree in Public Finance and Tax Administration. Throughout his career, he also worked in the banking sector, as a consultant, teacher and state tax auditor. In 2019, he took over the State Finance Secretariat of Rondônia. He also has a degree in Law, a master's degree in Public Administration and a doctorate in bioethics. She began her political career at the age of 21, as a councilor in Porto Velho. In 2014, she was elected federal deputy and re-elected in 2018. She has already run for positions in the Executive and the Senate. Currently, she works as dean of a higher education institution that belongs to her family. Neidinha (PSB) Neidinha Suruí Reproduction/social media Neidinha Suruí is an indigenous activist and activist working to defend indigenous peoples and the environment in the Amazon. He worked at the National Foundation of Indigenous Peoples (Funai) and participated in actions to protect indigenous territories. In 1992, he founded the Kanindé Association, focused on socio-environmental defense. In 2024, she ran for a councilor seat in Porto Velho, but was not elected.
