At 88 years old, the composer and guitarist will be the great honoree of the Bossa 61 festival, which takes place between Friday (14) and Sunday (16) in August and brings together renowned names in the genre in a free program. The choice of Arraial do Cabo has a special meaning. It was at the sea in the city that Menescal lived, in the early 1960s, an experience that helped inspire "O Barquinho", one of the most emblematic songs of Bossa Nova. More than six decades later, the city once again connects with the musician's history by hosting a festival dedicated to his work and the legacy of a movement that took Brazilian music to the world. ?
