Candidate Thereza Marques is seeking the rodeo crown and is a fan of the Três Tambores event. The Festa do Peão de Barretos 2026 will elect the new queen on Friday (17) by a jury vote. Born in Barretos (SP), journalism student and model Thereza Marques, aged 25, says that, as a true Barretos native, her passion for rodeo started when she was still very young. "I remember that since I was very young, my family always took me for a walk during the day in Parque do Peãozinho, the memorial and the monuments. Thereza: I have a lot of country duos that I really like, but Tião Carreiro & Pardinho had a huge impact on my childhood because they were the duo that my late godfather always played at lunches and family gatherings. I grew up listening to viola music and that's why today I continue to cultivate this love for the culture: it's part of who I am.
