Piracicaba hosts the main Brazilian meeting dedicated to composting Credit: Disclosure Between the 18th and 20th of August, Piracicaba will be the meeting point for the Brazilian composting chain. The Pecege Institute hosts COMPOSHOW 2026 – Brazilian Composting Fair and 4th Composting Technical Meeting, the sector's main technical and business meeting in the country. The event will bring together researchers, rural producers, public managers, industries, cooperatives, machine manufacturers, universities and experts from different regions to discuss how organic waste can generate soil fertility, productivity for agribusiness, efficiency for cities and new business opportunities. The program will feature representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA), the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MMA), researchers from Embrapa and leading professionals in the market. The edition has the support of ABISOLO, ABCompostagem, Piracicaba City Hall, USP Recicla and ESALQ/USP. Among the topics covered are regenerative agriculture, soil health, reverse logistics, traceability, bio-inputs, regulation, innovation, mechanization, public policies and business models. "Composting is no longer just an environmental solution. Today, it transforms waste into inputs, productivity and economic development. COMPOSHOW brings together those who research, develop technologies, formulate public policies and apply these solutions in practice", says Daniel Moreira, director of Dtrip Intelligence in Events and organizer of COMPOSHOW. In addition to the technical program, the fair will bring together Brazilian and international companies with machines, equipment, technologies and services for different scales, from small projects and rural producers to industrial and municipal operations.
