Palm trees 'on fire' with message to Abel: 'Portuga, patience is over'

In a video released on social media, the group stated that the charge was not directed at the Portuguese coach or the squad, at least at this moment. The demonstration, according to the fans, was aimed at external situations that, in the organization's opinion, have been harming Palmeiras.

"There, Portuguese, your patience is over", began Mancha Verde, before explaining that criticism made of Abel at other times does not represent personal persecution.

The fans reinforced that they consider Palmeiras above any player, coach or manager and stated that the repercussion of the previous publication ended up creating a mistaken interpretation about a possible break with the coach.

According to the organization, the three words initially published were enough to fuel the idea of a new internal crisis at the club.

"Patience is over, yes. But not with you or your players, at least for now," the group said.

Mancha Verde also cited previous statements by Abel Ferreira about arbitration decisions and moves analyzed by VAR. The organization questioned criteria adopted in Palmeiras matches and stated that it sees different treatment in similar situations in Brazilian football.

At the demonstration, the group declared that the "rigority of the law" would be applied differently depending on the club involved and accused part of the press of selecting which episodes receive the greatest repercussion.

The organizer also stated that she preferred to observe the reaction provoked by the publication before explaining the true meaning of the message.

According to Mancha Verde, the expectation of part of the public was that the fans would increase the pressure on Abel after negative results, but, this time, the objective would be to join forces in defense of Palmeiras.

The group also called on the coach to convey a message of commitment to the squad and promised to intensify support in the stands.

"Our differences can wait, because now is the time to defend together what is ours with one voice," he declared.

At the end of the video, Mancha Verde stated that it intends to transform the atmosphere of Palmeiras' home games and asked the players to give their "soul, sweat and life" on the field.

The organizers ended the demonstration by reinforcing the speech of unity between the fans, coaching staff and cast in the face of what they consider to be external attacks on the club.
