In the first seven months of the year, slaughterhouses in Mato Grosso exported 457.1 thousand tons of beef, generating US$2.8 billion. In comparison with the same period in 2025, there was a 29.6% increase in exported volume, with 104.4 thousand more tons.

In the first seven months of the year, slaughterhouses in Mato Grosso exported 457.1 thousand tons of beef, generating US$2.8 billion. In comparison with the same period in 2025, there was a 29.6% increase in exported volume, with 104.4 thousand more tons. Revenue from foreign sales grew by US$951.5 million, an increase of 51.2% in the period.
In June, Mato Grosso exported 549.7 tons of beef to Spain. In July, volume increased to 1,400 tons, growth of 172%. From January to July, 5.1 thousand tons of beef protein were sold to the country, a volume 10.2% higher than that recorded in the same period of the previous year.
Another market that showed growth was the United States. In June, the country purchased 3.1 thousand tons of beef from Mato Grosso, a volume that increased to 5.3 thousand tons in July, an increase of 66.6%. From January to July, North Americans purchased 36.8 thousand tons, growth of 69.6% compared to the first seven months of 2025.
There was also an increase in sales to Chile, according to Comex Stat. Shipments went from 4.9 thousand tons in June to 6.8 thousand tons in July, growth of 37.4%. From January to July, the South American country purchased 30.8 thousand tons of beef from Mato Grosso, a volume 76% higher than that recorded in the same period last year.
"This growth in exports is the result of a combination of factors throughout the production chain, which has been increasing production efficiency and the ability to meet the different demands of the international market. In these already consolidated markets, the increase in sales shows that there is still room to deepen these commercial relationships, which is important for all links in the chain", assesses the Project Director of the Mato Grosso Meat Institute (Imac), Bruno de Jesus Andrade.
