Ministry of Finance suspends ZeroumBet, created by influencer Deolane Bezerra, and other online betting companies

Last Friday (14), the Ministry of Finance suspended the online betting company ZeroumBet, created by lawyer, digital influencer and businesswoman Deolane Bezerra, for not forwarding the information required for monitoring and inspection carried out by the Ministry's Prizes and Betting Secretariat. The information is contained in a precautionary measure, published on the Ministry of Finance website. The government informs that precautionary measures are "essential instruments for carrying out supervisory activities, as they allow the interests of society to be safeguarded and can be applied when the requirements of verisimilitude and the danger of delay are present." ZeroumBet owns the rights to the domains “zeroum.bet.br”, “sportvip.bet.br” and “energia.bet.br”. Currently, the company is managed by José Daniel Carvalho Saturnino, who became managing partner in December 2024. According to the government, any ongoing bets must be canceled, with the amount bet by bettors returned immediately. Failure to comply with precautionary measures subjects the betting operator to payment of a daily fine of R$200,000. Also last week, the Prizes and Betting Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance suspended the operation of the brands Pixbet (pix.bet.br), Ganheibet (ganhei.bet.br) and Betdasorte (betdasorte.bet.br), due to the "high risk of harm to bettors and the regulated market". Only access to the platforms to withdraw the amounts held by bettors is being allowed, until there is proof to the technical area of ??the Prizes and Betting Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance that the company has implemented analytical tools for controlling and monitoring bettors.
