Francisco das Chagas Morais Santos, aged 66, Isabella Coelho Morais, aged 29, and Guilherme Pereira Lima Filho, aged 65, died. A fourth victim, identified only as Dilma, was injured. Still on Monday, Ezenilson was accompanied by teams from the Specialized Homicide and Kidnapping Police Station (DEHS) to the location. According to the suspect, he asked Francisco not to scream and stated that he would not do anything to him. Afterwards, according to the report, the pastor refused to hand over the money and the two began to argue. "Where's the money you said you were going to give me. Then I told him not to shout that I wasn't going to do anything. Then he said 'no fucking money, you have more than that...'" Afterwards, the suspect stated that Francisco jumped at him and started shouting. According to the investigation, Francisco was the first victim attacked. Security cameras recorded his arrival on a motorcycle. The suspect allegedly jumped over the wall to enter the house. After analyzing the images and identifying similarities between the man recorded on the cameras and Ezenilson, the police also checked the motorcycle used in the crime. He was located, arrested and, according to DEHS, confessed to the murders. The main line of investigation indicates that the suspect went to the residence in search of money to pay a debt with loan sharks. According to delegate Ricardo Cunha, head of DEHS, Ezenilson claimed to have acted in self-defense, but the version did not convince investigators. Police say the suspect used a hammer in the attacks. After the crime, he said he threw the object into a stream nearby. The reconstruction also allowed investigators to check the version presented by the suspect with the characteristics and traces found in the residence.
