He was rescued alive and taken to a hospital, but he did not survive his injuries. According to the police report registered at the Specialized Homicide and Kidnapping Police Station (DEHS), the crime took place around 7:30 am. He was taken to the João Lúcio Hospital and Emergency Room (HPS), but died in the health unit.

The Amazonas Military Police (PMAM) was called after the attack and reported the case to DEHS. The Civil Police reported that DEHS teams were investigating the homicide, but until the publication of this report there was no information on the identity of the suspects or the motivation for the crime.
