Macaé expands lectures on women's rights during Lilac August

Institutions and companies can request free lectures by email Secom Archive Macaé, in the North of Fluminense, intensified the holding of lectures and awareness actions about women's rights during Lilac August. The activities address preventing and combating violence, female autonomy and protection mechanisms. Companies, schools, institutions and other spaces can request lectures free of charge by email at secretariadamulher@macae.rj.gov.br. The meetings present the different forms of violence against women, the rights guaranteed by law and the services available in the municipal service network. The actions are promoted throughout the year by the Municipal Secretariat for Women's Policies, which also develops professional qualification, autonomy and well-being initiatives. The body manages specialized equipment, such as the Specialized Women's Service Center (Ceam) and the Social Space for Woman Citizen. Campaign raises awareness about the Maria da Penha Law Secom Archive Agosto Lilás is a national campaign to prevent and combat violence against women. The mobilization also marks the anniversary of the Maria da Penha Law, sanctioned on August 7, 2006. In situations of violence, reports can be made via Call 180. In cases of emergency, the Military Police must be called via 190.
