Doctor Natasha Slhessarenko (PSD) had her pre-candidacy for the Government of Mato Grosso approved on Thursday night (30), during a left-wing convention held at the Hotel Fazenda Mato Grosso, in Cuiabá.

The event brought together leaders and activists from the Brazilian Federation of Hope (PT, PV and PCdoB) and allied parties, making official the majority ticket headed by the party leader for the dispute over the Paiaguás Palace.

Initially considered to run for a seat in the Senate, he was chosen to be on the ticket after the PDT withdrew its intention to launch its own candidacy for the Government and joined the project led by Natasha.

During the convention, Natasha also recalled the influence of her family on her upbringing. He cited his mother, Serys Slhessarenko, the first woman senator for Mato Grosso, as an inspiration in public life, and highlighted his father Leonardo Slhessarenko's teachings on social justice and commitment to people.

She also recalled her experience as a doctor in the Unified Health System (SUS), where she has worked for more than two decades. When sharing the story of a mother who sought care for her son, Natasha explained that that episode marked her understanding of the scope of public policies.

"As a doctor, I can transform one life at a time. But, through politics, it is possible to transform the reality of an entire state", she said.

"We will walk throughout Mato Grosso bringing hope and showing that it is possible to do things differently. Our commitment is to build a State that takes care of people", he stated.

In addition to the PSD and the Brazilian Federation of Hope, the coalition has the support of PSB, PDT, PSOL and Rede. At the same event, the pre-candidacies of the former Minister of Agriculture, Carlos Fávaro (PSD), and the former governor Pedro Taques (PSB) for the Federal Senate were approved.
