Lambateria Festival, in Belém. Disclosure The traditional Friday that precedes the Círio de Nazaré in Belém already has a guaranteed soundtrack. On October 9th, the Lambateria 2026 Festival will hold an edition to celebrate two important milestones: the project's 10 years of existence and the lambada's 50 years. The event, recognized by the public as the "Festa do Círio", returns to a space on the banks of the Guamá River, with programming that mixes generations, Latin-Amazonian rhythms and major premieres. For the first time on the festival stage, singer Adilson Ramos, known nationally as the "King of Seresta", promises to move the audience with romantic classics such as "A Chuva me Remembered Você" and "Fim de Festa", obligatory tracks at traditional saudade dances. Another big debut of the night is Companhia do Calypso. Under the command of Fênix Ribeiro and Paulinha Miranda from Pará, the band promises to get everyone dancing to the sound of notable hits such as "Tchic Bum", "Se Mancol" and "Zap Zum". To complete the team of classics, the band Warilou, one of the greatest exponents of lambada in Pará, also performs at the festival, reliving the golden years of the rhythm that completes half a century in 2026. Watch the interview with Lambateria Baile Show and Lia Sophia at The Town 2025 Félix Robatto commands tribute The festival's creator, guitarist and music researcher Félix Robatto, commands the main show of the night. The presentation will take a trip back in time to celebrate 50 years of lambada, whose first official record occurred in 1976, with the track "Lambada (Sambão)", by master Pinduca. The special show will feature singer Lia Sophia and Peruvian star Rossy War, accompanied by her husband and guitarist Tito Mauri. Rossy, who debuted at the festival in 2022, returns to Belém after consolidating the internationalization of the event. The night will also have room for emotion with a tribute to Uruguayan musician Daniel Benitez, the late artist who left a great legacy in the sound and Latinity of Pará music. The tribute will be led by his son, multi-instrumentalist Bruno Benitez, and will feature a special appearance by Fernando Belém, known as the "King of Merengue". From carimbó to sound system beats The new generation of music from Pará is also highlighted at the festival. Carimbó will be represented by the groups Batucada Misteriosa (from Icoaraci), presenting the album "Até Nunca Morrer", and Toró Açu (from Quilombo do Abacatal, in Ananindeua), with the work "Mandinga do meu Avô", which exalts the quilombola experience. Singer and composer Jeff Moraes presents the songs from his new EP, "Laje Tropical", recorded at Pupuña Estúdio. And for those who can't do without the striking sound of the sound systems, the traditional Mega Príncipe Negro leads the party with the special participation of singer Naré, a revelation from the brega band from Pará. The night's DJs will be DJs Zek Picoteiro and Estamyna. The dance floor will also be the stage for the Seu Godofredo (Seu Godô) Dance Competition, which will reward the best dancing couple with a cash prize. Valuing Amazonian culture Created in June 2016 by Félix Robatto, Lambateria began as a weekly party and soon transformed into a movement of resistance and appreciation of Latin-Amazonian and Caribbean culture. Mixing carimbó, brega, guitarada, merengue and cumbia, the project has already revealed local talent and brought international attractions to the capital of Pará. In 2026, in addition to celebrating ten years in Belém, Lambateria expanded its borders and represented Northern culture on the Rock in Rio stage, consolidating the strength of Pará music on the national scene.
