Surfilmusic Tour The visit to Brazil is part of the promotion of the documentary Surfilmusic, recently released and which inspired the artist's new tour. The project is directed by Emmett Malloy, a filmmaker known for work with The White Stripes and Notorious B.I.G. The film revisits Jack Johnson's trajectory from his youth on the north coast of Hawaii to the first steps of his musical career. The project also gave rise to a double album. One of the parts brings together the original soundtrack created in partnership with the duo Hermanos Gutiérrez. The other features rare and unreleased recordings recovered from the artist's early years of composition. The tour's repertoire combines these new songs with hits such as Better Together, Banana Pancakes, Bubble Toes, Flake, Upside Down and Times Like These.
