Integrating Projects transform knowledge into practice at UNIFEB Credit: Disclosure The corridors, rooms and academic spaces of UNIFEB (University Center of the Barretos Educational Foundation) were busy with the presentations of Pis (Integrating Projects), one of the most important pedagogical activities developed throughout university education. In total, students from the institution's 19 undergraduate courses shared the results of work that combined theory, practice, research and innovation. Integrative Projects are curricular components that aim to promote interdisciplinarity and encourage students to apply, in a practical way, the knowledge acquired in the classroom. Through them, students are challenged to develop solutions, analyses, research and proposals related to the real demands of society and the job market, strengthening technical skills and skills essential for professional performance. The presentations took place in different formats, according to the characteristics of each area of ??knowledge. Some courses chose to display their work on scientific banners, while others held oral presentations with the support of slides, providing moments for exchanging experiences and learning between academics, teachers and evaluators. Courses in Administration, Agronomy, Architecture and Urbanism, Biomedicine, Accounting Sciences, Law, Physical Education, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, Pedagogy, Psychology and Information Systems participated in the exhibition. To the academic director of UNIFEB, Prof. Dr. Rosangela de Carvalho Goulart Guedes Prado, the Integrator Project represents an important difference in the training of students. "PIs allow students to experience situations very close to professional reality. It is an opportunity to put into practice the knowledge built throughout the course, develop critical thinking, teamwork and the ability to propose solutions to concrete challenges", he highlighted. According to the director, the diversity of the themes presented highlights the institution's commitment to excellent training that is connected to the needs of society. "We were very pleased to follow the commitment of students and teachers. The work presented demonstrates creativity, technical depth and social responsibility. This is a moment in which we were able to visualize, very clearly, the results of the teaching and learning process developed at UNIFEB", he stated. Rosangela also highlighted the importance of participation of all courses in the activity. "Seeing the 19 courses involved reinforces the interdisciplinary essence of the Integrator Project and shows the strength of our academic community. Each presentation represents an important step in the training of professionals who are more prepared, ethical and committed to transforming the reality in which they will work", he added.
