Jayme also defended that any investigations should reach people with greater economic or political power, if irregularities are identified.
"You have to go to prison, friend. You have to go to prison and you have to return the money from the State of Mato Grosso to the people of Mato Grosso", he stated. “It can’t be for the poor, it has to be for the rich too,” he added.

"The privatization of roads here has to be investigated. It's just a mess too", he stated.

"If I'm going to open my mouth here, excuse my expression, if I'm going to say everything I know, Mato Grosso is over. There won't be any jails for a few people. We'll have to look for new prisons", he declared.
