Holidays: July exhibitions can be visited from Monday to Friday

New exhibitions begin this July in the cultural spaces of Araraquara, organized by the Municipal Department of Culture and Fundart. The free program is an option to entertain children and young people during the school period and visits can be carried out from Monday to Friday (except holidays), in the following spaces: Professor Rodolpho Telarolli Historical Archive, Museum of Image and Sound Maestro José Tescari (MIS), Museum of Archeology and Paleontology (MAPA), Francisco Aureliano de Araújo Railway Museum and the Football and Sports Museum. At the Professor Rodolpho Telarolli Historical Archive, the exhibition “A man and his achievements" highlights one of Araraquara's greatest architects, Arnaldo Gonzales Palamone Lepre, responsible for the Cecap square and modules for schools and health centers, renovation of the theater and several famous works in Araraquara. MIS, the Museum of Image and Sound Maestro José Tescari, this month of Rock presents a retrospective of Araraquara Rock, a festival that reaches its 25th edition. The exhibition brings together videos, photos and audio that portray the history of this important event on the independent scene. At MAPA, the Araraquara Museum of Archeology and Paleontology highlights Tupi Ceramics. The ceramic production carried out by Tupi indigenous women reflects the cultural diversity present among different groups, overcoming the vision of a single identity. The collection, displayed at MAPA, was collected at archaeological sites in cities such as Junqueirópolis, Ribeirão Bonito and Pirassununga. The Francisco Aureliano de Araújo Railway Museum pays homage to six citizens from Araraquara who died in combat in the Constitutionalist Revolution, commemorated on July 9th. In 1932, railway workers from the Araraquara Railway played a crucial role in transporting troops, supplies and ammunition to the combat fronts. The city of Araraquara was the logistical base of the resistance, with Casa Barbieri as the concentration point for actions and sending 541 volunteers to the fight. Thus, the exhibition pays homage to: Bento de Barros, Diógenes Muniz Barreto, Joaquim Alves, Lieutenant Joaquim Nunes Cabral, José Cesarini and Waldomiro Machado, who were buried in the Constitutionalist Mausoleum, opened on July 9, 1934 at the São Bento Cemetery, transferred to the 1st roundabout of Avenida Bento de Abreu, in Fonte, in 1972. Finally, at the Museum of Football and Sports of Araraquara highlights the 70 years since Ferroviária first reached the Elite Division of football in São Paulo. The shirt worn by striker Paulinho is highlighted in the exhibition, as it is the oldest item in the Araraquara Football and Sports Museum.
