The summoning of the former secretary marks a new stage in the commission's work. As informed during the meeting, the CPI began hearings with technicians from the State Comptroller General's Office (CGE), went through representatives from the State Attorney General's Office (PGE) and, currently, concludes the phase of testimonies from businesspeople. From the 26th, the investigation progresses to the hearing of public agents.
Gilberto Figueiredo was also formally informed about his status as being investigated within the scope of the CPI. The current Secretary of State for Health of Mato Grosso, Juliano Silva Melo, who also had the call approved by the commission, should be heard in September, in the final stage of the work. During the meeting, September 9th was initially indicated for the testimony, and the schedule could be adjusted depending on the progress of the hearings.
This Wednesday's meeting was initially scheduled to have testimonies, but those called did not attend.
Priscilla Parreira Duarte de Menezes announced that she would not attend due to a court decision that made her presence optional.
