The victims are teenager Larissa Estela Oliveira, aged 16, and drivers Eliezer de Araújo Silva and Samuel da Silva Ancia. According to the IML, Eliezer was driving one of the vehicles and had Larissa as a passenger. Samuel was in another truck involved in the crash. Larissa was born in Boa Vista (RR). According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the crash occurred around 4 pm. Due to the work of the teams on site, the track was only fully reopened around 1am this Tuesday (18). Videos recorded by drivers passing by the site show that two of the vehicles involved were a cattle truck and a trailer loaded with grain. After the crash, the vehicles caught fire, and a large cloud of smoke filled the highway (see video above). Teams from the PRF, the Fire Department and the Nova 364 dealership were on site to fight the flames, control traffic and ensure the safety of drivers passing through the stretch.
