(FOLHAPRESS) - The Ministry of Finance suspended, last Friday (14), the betting license of five companies, including businesses linked to influencer Deolane Bezerra and the Pixbet group. As each company can have up to three brands, 14 websites were suspended by precautionary measures due to the failure to deliver mandatory documents.

The target is ZeroUm Bet, founded by Deolane and transferred to a bar owner in Piauí; Select Operations, belonging to holding companies managed by the owners of Pixbet; Nexus, owned by British millionaire Gurhan Kiziloz; RR Participações e Intermediações de Negócios, owned by Minas Gerais businessman Ricardo Rezende Soares de Oliveira; and Enseada Serviços e Tecnologia, whose beneficiary is an offshore company registered in Cyprus.

In total, the ministry issued seven precautionary measures, including the first two, which led to the suspension of Pixbet last Thursday (13) due to lack of documentation and problems in the policy against betting addiction.

In addition to the immediate suspension, brands will have to add a warning about the punishment on their websites. The platforms must remain online only to allow registered players to withdraw the balances available in their accounts.

Nexus' legal director, Caio Coimbra, told the report that the company's punishment was motivated by the fact that the SPA (Prizes and Betting Secretariat), linked to the Treasury, had not detected the receipt of operating data from the group's website, megaposta.bet.br.

“The company collected technical records that indicate that these transmissions occurred and that there was an inconsistency in the processing of these files, which have already been taken to the Secretariat.”

According to Coimbra, Megaposta is a bet authorized by the SPA and is complying with what was determined, with access for bettors to withdraw amounts guaranteed.

When contacted, SPA did not comment until the publication of this report.

On Monday night (17), the report also contacted, via email and WhatsApp, the lawyer Marcella Ferraz, legal director of ZeroUm Bet since before the influencer Deolane Bezerra transferred ownership, at the end of 2024, to José Daniel Carvalho Saturnino, owner of a bar in Piauí. Ferraz did not respond, and the ZeroUm Bet website continued to operate this Tuesday morning (18).

The suspension of the brand also occurred due to the omission of “required regulatory information”. According to the Treasury, ongoing bets must be canceled and the amount bet returned immediately.

ZeroUm Bet has already been the target of administrative proceedings by the Treasury for displaying, on its website and in advertisements on social media, that it had authorization from the ministry, despite operating due to a court order.

Also suspended, the company Select Operations did not return contacts. Its final beneficiary is Diomar Tadeu Dantas de Farias, owner of 30% of Pixbet. The report has been trying to contact, via WhatsApp, the lawyer Camila Fernandes, responsible for Pixbet's operation, since last Thursday (13).

Although the Treasury has suspended the authorization of Pixbet and Select, the Farias family, which controls the conglomerate along with lawyers who defend it in other causes, also owns Open Gaming, a company with a national license.

Therefore, the websites Donald.Bet and BetpontoBet, both linked to the Farias family, can continue to operate. Taking all brands together, the betting conglomerate approaches a 4% share of the market.

The report also tried to contact, by email, lawyers from Enseada and RR Participações e Intermediações de Negócios since Monday night, but received no response.

RR Participações cites as final beneficiary Ricardo Rezende Soares de Oliveira, a businessman from Minas Gerais in the lottery sector and the sale of capitalization bonds.

Although not directly mentioned in the precautionary measures, the website minha.bet.br, managed through another license from Enseada shareholders, also went offline.
