'FAFÁ 50': DJ Will Love and DJ Nat/Esquema are confirmed in a 50th anniversary show

As part of the celebrations of five decades of career in music, the singer confirmed the participation of DJ Will Love and DJ Nat/Esquema in the "FAFÁ 50" show. The special presentation is scheduled for next Monday (17), at the traditional Palácio dos Bares, in Belém, and will serve as the setting for the recording of a new audiovisual project. The choice of guests reinforces the concept of the show, which sheds light on the power and diversity of contemporary musical production in Pará, promoting a meeting of different generations and artistic aspects of the state. Global beat and appreciation Born in Abaetetuba, DJ and producer Will Love gained national and international recognition as a member of the group Gang do Eletro. He is part of a fundamental movement that helped export tecnobrega and electronic music from Pará to the world, accumulating stints on prominent global stages, such as the SXSW festival, in the United States, and Trans Musicales, in France. Alongside him, DJ Nat/Esquema brings to the stage the strength of research and safeguarding northern rhythms. A psychologist by training and creator of the Meta/Esquema project, Nat is one of the main references in the Belém cultural scene, with work focused on strengthening independent artists and spreading vinyl culture and Amazonian music. Palácio dos Bares: the temple of brega as a setting The location chosen for the audiovisual recording could not be more emblematic. Located in the Condor neighborhood, Palácio dos Bares is one of the most traditional nightlife spaces in Belém, closely linked to sound system culture and the brega movement. The recording in the capital of Pará marks one of the most important moments of the "FAFÁ 50" tour, which debuted in June with sold out tickets at Circo Voador, in Rio de Janeiro. Before arriving in Belém, the show will be in São Paulo, at Cine Joia, this Friday (August 14), with the participation of DJ Zé Pedro and the group Carimbloco. Five decades of national success Since emerging on the national scene in 1975 with the hit "Filho da Bahia", Fafá de Belém has consolidated one of the richest and most versatile careers in MPB. With more than 30 titles released — including albums, EPs and DVDs —, the artist has sold around 15 million records and has an impressive record of 67 songs on soap opera soundtracks. Moving easily between romanticism, fado, Amazonian sounds and popular music, Fafá remains one of the most powerful and representative voices of the culture of the North of the country.
