Analysis: Brazil had the biggest increase in tariffs One year after the start of tariffs in the United States, on August 6 last year, Brazilian exports to the American market changed their profile. To show how these changes were distributed across the country, g1 analyzed data from the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC), comparing sales to the USA in the first half of 2025, before the tariffs came into force, with those in the first half of this year, when the measures already affected part of Brazilian products. ? On the map, the balance represents the difference between the value exported in each of the two periods. When it is positive, it indicates that the state has increased sales to the USA. When it is negative, it shows that there was a reduction.
