Jacareí Police Station Disclosure/PM A man was arrested on suspicion of running over and killing a motorcyclist on Sunday night (5), in Jacareí (SP). The case took place on Rua Anésia Ruston, in Jardim das Indústrias, and is being investigated by the Civil Police as a homicide. According to the police report, the suspect claimed that he believed he was being chased and went straight to the police station, without returning to the scene or providing assistance. However, the version is contested by witnesses interviewed by the Civil Police. The report states that a woman, who was passing by the scene at the time of the incident, reported that she saw the truck and the motorcycle traveling side by side while the drivers argued. According to her, the truck driver threw the vehicle at the motorcyclist, who was thrown against a wall. Another witness told the police that he saw the truck at high speed and said that the vehicle dragged the motorcycle and the motorcyclist before impacting the wall. According to the report, the driver fled without providing assistance and headed towards the police station. The victim's brother-in-law confirmed to the police that he had an old dispute with the suspect and stated that he was chased by the truck moments before the collision. He said, however, that he did not witness the moment the motorcyclist was hit. Given the statements and evidence gathered so far, the Civil Police arrested the driver for murder.
