Donations to the Clothing Campaign will continue until the end of the month

Residents of Araucária, companies and other interested parties have until August 31st to contribute by donating clothing and footwear to the 2026 Warm Clothing Campaign. Each donated item is important to guarantee protection and shelter for vulnerable families in Araucária during cold weather. More than 6 thousand pieces have already been delivered to community associations registered with the Social Assistance Secretariat (SMAS), which distribute them to families in situations of social vulnerability. What to donate? The Warm Clothing Campaign receives winter clothes, blankets and other items that can help those facing low temperatures. To be usable, the pieces must be clean and in good condition. Donations can be delivered to bus terminals, the City Hall headquarters, the Municipal Social Assistance Secretariat, the City Hall, the Elderly People's Community Center (CCPI), Casa das Palavras Brincantes (Parque Cachoeira), ACIAA, AECIAR, Edifício Ônix, Colégio COC, Colégio Júlio Szymanski and also to partner companies that joined the campaign with the support of Força Sindical and provide collection boxes identified with the visual identity of the action. Importance At a recent event at City Hall, the president of the Union of Residents' Associations of Araucária (UNAMAR), Luiz Carlos Kaill, highlighted that the partnership between City Hall and neighborhood entities strengthens service to those who need it most. "As the associations are close to the community, we know the reality and needs of families up close. This partnership allows donations to reach those who really need them. Therefore, anyone who can contribute winter clothes or blankets will make a big difference. Each donation represents welcome and hope for many people", he summarized.
