The collision occurred at km 8 of the highway, close to Viaduto do Ananin, in the Águas Brancas neighborhood. The victims were identified as Luís Odivaldo da Silva, aged 50, and Vangela Cristina Queiroz Silva Costa, aged 33. Luís was a pastor and worked as a motorcyclist via app. Vangela was on the back of the motorcycle. According to the driver of the truck, the accident occurred during an attempt to overtake.
