The City Council approved, during Tuesday's session (28/07), a series of Bills for the benefit of public servants in Maceió, and deliberation on the Budgetary Guidelines Law (LDO). An initiative that allows taxpayers in the capital to regularize tax and non-tax credits, Prefis, was also approved by parliamentarians. They are: - Budgetary Guidelines Bill (PLDO), referring to the year 2027; - Project that deals with the Position and Career Plan for the Municipality's Construction Tax Auditors, including Posture Inspectors; - Project to regulate the career of traffic agents in Maceió; - Project on the Statute of the Municipal Guard of Maceió; - Project that creates the Bonus for Increment of Technical and Administrative Activity (Giata), from the Municipal Management Secretariat (Semge); - Creation of the Public Traffic School within the scope of DMTT Maceió; - And the project that readjusts the Paid Voluntary Service (SVR) of traffic agents. All messages were discussed, analyzed and approved unanimously in the Legislature. Parliamentarians made a point of highlighting the frank dialogue between public servants at the Chamber and also with Maceió City Hall. PREFIS and LDO Approved by the Chamber, the Tax Recovery Program (Prefis), covers tax and non-tax debts due by December 31, 2025. The measure, according to the Municipality, consists of providing an effective opportunity to defaulting taxpayers to achieve tax regularity. The LDO project has a budget forecast of R$5.7 billion, of which 40% is mandatory for education (25%) and health (15%). The LDO establishes the rules for preparing the Maceió City Council's Budget for the following year. The LDO received a favorable opinion from the Constitution and Justice Commission (CCJ), and was approved in the House without vetoes on the amendments proposed by parliamentarians.
