Report from the Los Angeles Medical Examiner's Office describes that Handy suffered injuries to the neck and stab wounds to the torso on June 3, in Los Angeles, USA. A document, obtained by The Post, indicates that the suspect is Michael Gledhill, 44, son of the actor's girlfriend.
The argument began on the porch of the house and escalated into physical aggression, according to the report. The report states that Gledhill allegedly choked Handy, straddled him and dragged him to the side of the property before entering the residence to retrieve what "appeared to be a knife."
The suspect allegedly returned with the gun and struck Handy several times in the torso. He then called emergency services and said, "I'm the son of man, I just killed the man of sin," according to police.
Police officers found the actor unconscious and he was taken to a hospital, where he died. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) says that shortly afterward, Gledhill approached officers and said he was the wanted person. Footage from a neighbor's doorbell camera reportedly showed the suspect walking down the sidewalk and then returning to the house.
Michael Gledhill was arrested and charged with murder. He is being held in the Van Nuys jail with bail set at $2 million. Authorities have not yet released a possible motive for the attack. The suspect undergoes a mental competency assessment before the case proceeds to court.
