Katy Perry revived a look used at the beginning of her career. On June 30, the singer returned to wearing a look she had worn in 2009, during a performance in the United Kingdom.
The set is red with white polka dots and consists of a top and miniskirt. The piece is now part of a charity auction promoted by the Firework Foundation, an institution created by the artist herself.
The singer is offering fans the chance to purchase old costumes from the "Warped Tour", from 2008, and "Hello Katy", from 2009. The initiative has a charitable nature.
According to People magazine, Katy is expected to recover different looks in a series of festival appearances over the summer. The pieces will then be auctioned off to benefit the Firework Foundation.
The organization was founded in 2018 by Katy Perry and the artist's older sister, Angela Lerche. The foundation's goal is to encourage children from vulnerable communities through the arts.
In an interview given in 2024, Katy had already spoken about the financial difficulties she faced during her childhood and adolescence, a topic remembered by People when discussing the charitable action.
In the publications below, you can see the singer wearing the red set with white polka dots again. In the gallery, also check out images of the first time Katy wore the look.
