Cavernas do Peruaçu National Park gains new tourist itineraries; see what they are

Peruaçu gains 10 new routes to explore the beauties of the North of Minas The Cavernas do Peruaçu National Park, in the North of Minas, has gained ten new tourist routes. (See below) The experiences, which bring together attractions inside and outside the conservation unit, were presented during an event held in Januária at the end of June. The new developments in Peruaçu received consultancy from Sebrae Minas through the Check-in Tourism program. The ventures were trained to offer maximum excellence and quality in each activity, making the destination more competitive, attractive and prepared to receive different profiles of tourists", said Sebrae Minas analyst, Aline Magalhães, in a note sent to the press. Experiences bring together nature, gastronomy, culture and experiences around the conservation unit Disclosure According to Sebrae, entrepreneurs will receive support for structuring products, sales and marketing, digital marketing and positioning, improving business management, pricing, service qualification and access to the market. Discover the new tourist products Art in Clay Experience that takes visitors to experience artisanal creation in a ceramics workshop, molding clay with their own hands. Café Sertanejo Visitors can learn how to prepare traditional culinary recipes from the North of Minas Gerais, focusing on homemade greengrocers, sweets and cookies. Céu do Peruaçu Experience that combines living in nature with the ancestral knowledge of the Xakriabá people. Visitors are invited to disconnect to observe the sky from a new perspective. Peruaçu Immersion The trail to Janelão invites visitors to awaken their senses and live an experience of connection with nature. Sensory and Gastronomic Experience The tour reveals the charm of the production of cachaça from Minas Gerais stills. During the visit, every aroma, sound and detail of the warehouse tells a story. The experience includes a harmonized dinner. Centenary Farm The immersion begins in the sugarcane field, where the visitor relives the knowledge of the territory, and continues through a century-old mansion full of stories and memories. Between the Waters The "rite of connection" with Velho Chico invites the visitor to a symbolic journey through the waters of the river, led by those who live the local history. Between riverside stories and music, each gesture gains strength and meaning. Secrets of Cachaça The experience begins in the museum, where labels and memories come to life. The tour continues through the cachaça packaging and aging area and ends with a harmonized tasting. About the park Aerial image of the Cavernas do Peruaçu National Park Reproduction/TV Globo The Cavernas do Peruaçu National Park, in the North of Minas Gerais, was recognized as a World Natural Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco). Located around 670 kilometers from Belo Horizonte, between the municipalities of Itacarambi, Januária and São João das Missões, the park is home to more than 250 caves, some over 100 meters high. At the site, researchers found cave paintings around 12,000 years old and canyons up to 200 meters deep. The conservation unit is considered one of the most important natural and archaeological sites in the country. With more than 56 thousand hectares, it brings together around 500 cataloged geological formations and is home to ecosystems from the Cerrado, Caatinga and Atlantic Forest, as well as traditional and indigenous communities, such as the Xakriabá people.
