Campinas Innovation Week will have a track on science, innovation and public policies Credit: Disclosure Acic The integration between universities, research centers, companies and public authorities will be at the center of the debates of one of the main tracks of Campinas Innovation Week (CIW) 2026. With the theme Ecosystem, Science and Public Policies, the program will discuss how scientific research, technological innovation and public policies can boost economic development and strengthen the Brazilian innovation ecosystem. The trail will be curated by Newton Frateschi, member of the Municipal Council for Science, Technology and Innovation (CMCTI), and Ricardo Yogui, partner at Blue Rock Brasil. They, as ambassadors, will be responsible for defining the main themes of the program, selecting speakers and leading the debates. "Campinas Innovation Week 2026 reinforces Campinas' role as one of the main innovation ecosystems in the country. "The Ecosystem, Science and Public Policy Track will show how the integration between academia, companies and public authorities is capable of accelerating economic development, boosting innovation and generating concrete solutions to society's challenges. It is this connection that strengthens Campinas as a reference in innovation in Brazil", he states. Campinas Innovation Week 2026 With the theme "Tomorrow is Ours", Campinas Innovation Week will be held between the 14th and 18th of September, at the Pátio Ferroviário de Campinas. The program is free and registration is now open. Held by the Municipality of Campinas, with the execution of ACIC, the CIW will bring together startups, researchers, universities, investors, companies, students and public managers in an environment focused on generating knowledge, strategic connections and new businesses. Over the five days, the public will have access to a wide range of content distributed across five thematic trails, led by ambassadors who are national and international references in their areas of expertise. Meet the ambassadors of the Ecosystem, Science and Public Policies track Full professor at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), Newton Frateschi has built a recognized trajectory in scientific research and in the formulation of public policies for science, technology and innovation. Its activities contribute to bringing universities, research institutes, the productive sector and governments closer together, consolidating Campinas as one of the main innovation hubs in Latin America.
