The incident was recorded around 3:30 am, near km 290 of the highway. The bus was heading towards São Paulo–Bahia. When firefighters arrived at the scene, the vehicle was already completely engulfed in flames. The teams fought the remaining outbreaks and carried out the aftermath to eliminate risks on the highway. The Federal Highway Police were also on site to control traffic and record the incident.
