Delivery completes commitments made by the company in Trimmc. BTP leaves a legacy to the municipality with construction at Parque Valongo, Polyclinic and Youth Center. Disclosure/BTP In less than 18 months after handing over to the municipality of Santos the first polyclinic in Vila Gilda and the new Rádio Clube Community Center, Brasil Terminal Portuário (BTP) consolidates its legacy of positive social impact in Baixada Santista with the construction of yet another public facility. The company, which is recognized as one of the largest container terminals in Latin America, announced the completion of works to revitalize and modernize Warehouse 3 at Parque Valongo. The official handover of the new space to the municipality took place in a solemn ceremony between BTP, Santos City Hall and Santos Port Authority (APS) which was attended by authorities, executives from the maritime-port sector and the Santos community. Structured to host large events and benefit thousands of people in the region, Armazém 3 tends to become a cultural and tourist hub, further contributing to strengthening the port-city relationship. For BTP's CEO, Cláudio Oliveira, projects such as the revitalization of Warehouse 3 at Parque Valongo demonstrate that the port and the city are not separate realities and that they share space, history and future. "Since the beginning of our trajectory, we have been guided by the purpose of boosting the Brazilian port sector, generating positive value for our region. The revitalization of Warehouse 3 materializes this commitment that is in our essence and that will guide us in our next decades of operation at the Port of Santos. We return to the city a crucial piece of port history transformed into a dynamic space of culture and coexistence", he details. BTP was responsible for all the work to restore the walls, floor and roof structure of Warehouse 3, in addition to paving the surrounding area. The renovation, which began in August 2025, resulted in more than 2 thousand m² of an old port area being completely modernized and forming part of the third phase of Parque Valongo. BTP's engineer and planning, control and contracts manager, Cristhiane Vojevodovas, who participated in the entire project to revitalize Warehouse 3 at Parque Valongo, explains that the company sought to reconcile the historical characteristics of the site with the architectural solutions necessary for the new profile of the space's use. “At the same time as we maintained the original structure of the warehouse and preserved the historic wooden beams, we also sought modern solutions such as acoustic cladding and glass skin facades that allow visualization and integration with the Port of Santos”, he explains. The renovation, which began in August 2025, resulted in more than 2 thousand m² of an old port area being completely modernized. Disclosure/BTP Public-private agreement - The allocation of BTP resources for the work was part of a Term of Responsibility for the Implementation of Mitigating and/or Compensatory Measures (Trimmc) arising from its licensing process. In 2023, BTP renewed its concession contract to operate in the Port of Santos until 2047. In total, BTP's Trimmc allocated R$36.7 million to the city of Santos in a commitment of two deliveries, the first referring to the Policlínica da Vila Gilda and the Centro de Convivência Rádio Clube, both delivered in January 2025, and the second referring to Warehouse 3 at Parque Valongo, delivered in June 2026.
