In Manaus, branches of Caixa Econômica Federal, Santander and Bradesco are back in operation. In Itacoatiara, in the Metropolitan Region of Manaus, banks also resumed service. The strike was part of a national mobilization of the category. According to Daniel Batista, director of the Amazonas Bank Workers' Association, a new round of negotiations with the National Federation of Banks (Fenaban) is scheduled for Monday (24). "The banks are back to operating normally today. And we have the ninth round of negotiations with Fianaban, the Federation of Banks, next Monday (24)", he stated. ? Bank workers paralyze activities and close branches in Manaus and Itacoatiara According to Daniel Batista, the category may reject the proposal and call an assembly to discuss the strike. He stressed, however, that the decision will only be made after negotiation. "And it is from there, after this round of negotiations, that we will define whether we will go on strike, or an indefinite strike," stated Daniel Batista. Demand The category demands a salary adjustment with inflation replacement and a real increase of 5%. Bank employees also ask for an increase in Profit Sharing (PLR), improvements in the health plan for workers and dependents, time off for people with disabilities (PCDs), measures to combat violence against bank employees and an increase in time off for blood donations. On Thursday (20), Daniel Batista told g1 that the strike occurred due to a lack of progress in the salary campaign negotiations. According to him, after eight rounds of negotiations, the banks had still not presented a proposal to the category. "The bank employees are paralyzed today, the 20th, because, until now, there has been no proposal or counter-proposal from the bosses, who are the bankers. We are in eight rounds of negotiations and, so far, the bosses have not proposed anything," he said. According to him, Caixa employees fully adhered to the warning strike and the bank's branches were closed in the capital and in the municipalities where there are units.
