To participate, the fisherman must have an active and updated registration in the Single Registry (CadÚnico) in Arraial do Cabo, monthly family income per person of up to one minimum wage and residence in the municipality for at least two years. It is also necessary to have regular registration with the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio), General Registry of Fishing Activity (RGP) or equivalent federal registration, in addition to proving the exercise of artisanal fishing. Another requirement is not to have authorization, permission or concession to explore nautical tourism in the Arraial do Cabo Marine Extractive Reserve (Resexmar-AC).
