The teenager's former stepfather, named as the main suspect, admitted to committing the crime to his own sister-in-law and remains at large. The teenager is remembered by the school community as an intelligent and talented young woman, as well as passionate about Gaucho culture. Alice studied at Escola Estadual de Ensino Fundamental (EEEF) Jardim do Trabalhador since kindergarten. According to vice-director Karina Belotti Cenci, the young woman had a strong connection with the arts: she wrote poetry and was a member of the institution's traditionalist dance group, Oigalê. 'Wherever I put my hand, everything was very special. Always ready, with a smile, full of vivacity', recalls Karina. The teacher says that, last year, Alice was her "right hand" in conducting the rehearsals, taking on responsibilities when the vice-director faced health problems. The passion for traditionalism was shared with the three brothers, who also participated in the project. Furthermore, Alice played futsal at a local club, Fênix FC Futsal Feminino. On social media, the team expressed solidarity. "Today the court became quieter and our hearts infinitely heavier.
