UNIFEB gains national prominence with publications on advances in the forestry sector Credit: Disclosure UNIFEB (University Center of the Barretos Educational Foundation) expands its projection in the Brazilian agroforestry scenario with the participation of teachers from the Agronomy course in two publications in the Revista Campo & Negócios Florestas – Year XII, nº 83, May/June 2026 edition. The edition features as its cover article the theme “Innovation and Sustainability Shape the Future of Planted Forests”, signed by professors Dr. Claudinei da Cruz, Dr. Nathalia Garlich and Dr. Fábio Olivieri de Nóbile. The text addresses technological advances, sustainable practices and trends that have been transforming the management of planted forests, a strategic issue for both agricultural production and environmental preservation. In the same edition, the magazine published the article “Eucalyptus Weevil Accelerates the Search for Smarter Management”, written by Dr. Nathalia Garlich and Dr. Claudinei da Cruz. The content highlights the phytosanitary challenges faced by forestry and reinforces the need to adopt more intelligent, efficient and sustainable management to control the pest, directly contributing to the productivity and sustainability of the sector. Revista Campo & Negócios is a Brazilian publication specializing in agribusiness, created in 2002, in Uberlândia (MG), with a focus on disseminating technical information, innovations, technologies, agricultural management and trends in the agricultural sector. The Forests and Silviculture section is focused on the forestry sector and covers topics such as management of planted forests, eucalyptus and rubber trees, environmental sustainability, seedling production, reforestation, forestry technologies, wood market and bioeconomy.
