Third suspect involved in the death of a teenager in SC is arrested on a bus in MT while escaping

Teenager kidnapped inside her home is found dead in Santa Catarina A 28-year-old man, whose identity was not disclosed, was arrested on Wednesday night (8) inside an interstate bus, in Confresa, 1,160 km from Cuiabá. According to the Civil Police, he is being investigated for his participation in the kidnapping and murder of a 17-year-old teenager, which took place in the municipality of Maravilha, in Santa Catarina. According to the investigation, the young woman disappeared last Saturday (4) after being forcibly removed from her own home by her ex-boyfriend and another man. Three days later, the teenager's body was found buried in a forested area, in the municipality of Nova Erechim (SC), with signs of murder. According to the Civil Police, two suspects had already been arrested red-handed in Santa Catarina, including the ex-boyfriend. At around 10:30 pm, police officers approached the bus on BR-158, during a stop at a restaurant on the side of the highway, and located the suspect among the passengers. There was an arrest warrant issued against him by the Santa Catarina Court. After capture, the man was taken to the Confresa Civil Police Station, and now remains at the disposal of the Santa Catarina Judiciary.
