In a statement, the city council stated that the books and uniforms were purchased without consulting the teachers, who were already using materials provided by the state government, which made the use of the items purchased by the Municipal Department of Education unfeasible. Ourinhos City Hall also said that it will look for a way to correctly allocate the materials, in addition to correcting situations considered precarious in the municipal warehouse.
