(FOLHAPRESS) - Actor Stênio Garcia, 94, published a video on his Instagram this Wednesday (12) accusing his daughters, Cássia Piovesan and Gaya Piovesan, of questioning his mental health. In the caption of the publication, he mentioned the legal dispute he is having with them over an apartment in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro.

"My name is Stênio Garcia Faro. I came here to prove that I am present, fully active, willing to work," he said. "I just made a film and I'll make as many as I can, because I'm willing to do it. I don't accept people saying that I'm not completely sane"

The actor stated that going public to address the matter is "terrible" and said that the property was rented for five years without him receiving the money. According to Garcia, however, “even more terrible” was having his mental health questioned.

"That money was mine and I never saw a real one. Because of that, are they saying that I don't have mental health? I train daily, I make my own decisions and I just starred in a film. I don't admit being incapacitated by anyone", he pointed out.

He advised followers not to make donations while alive and said that he currently lives in the family home of his wife, Marilene Saade. "All of this is very, very hard and has already taken me to the hospital three times. May God give me the strength to endure so much cruelty. I want to see justice fulfilled", he concluded.

The legal dispute involving the apartment, located in Ipanema, began in October 2025. The action deals with the right to lifetime usufruct of the property, which, according to the actor, was being improperly occupied by his daughters.

In the process, Garcia claims to have faced financial difficulties since leaving Globo, in March 2020, and accuses her daughters of emotional abandonment, claiming that she does not receive help for medical expenses.

In April this year, the actor's daughters gave an interview to Domingo Espetacular (Record) contesting their father's version. They denied any type of abandonment and stated that the actor is not facing financial difficulties.

In July, the artist's wife stated that he was "very shaken" by this situation and that the dispute worsened Stênio's health.

"Stênio no longer works and lives only on retirement, which does not cover all health, medicine and food expenses. They question everything and claim that he lives in a mansion. It was never a mansion here and it belongs to my family", he told the reporter.
