How the massacre happened The massacre took place on Monday morning (17), in a residence in the São Geraldo neighborhood. According to the investigation, Ezenilson arrived at the property at around 5:30 am, parked a motorcycle in front of the house and jumped over the wall. The objective was to ask one of the victims for money to pay off a debt of R$19,000 with loan sharks. He remained there for around two hours and left the residence around 7am. During this period, three people were killed and one woman was injured. The dead are Francisco das Chagas Morais Santos, aged 66, Isabella Coelho Morais, aged 29, and Guilherme Pereira Lima Filho, aged 65. According to the police, Ezenilson went to the residence to ask Francisco, who was a pastor and his former father-in-law, for money. The suspect would have contracted a debt with loan sharks. According to the police chief, there was a disagreement after Francisco refused to hand over more money to the suspect. "[They] had a disagreement because this pastor didn't want to give him more money and, according to him, he lost his head and killed this pastor in his own room," said Cunha.
